After setting up the online backup software on your PC, you will be provided with the Account ID.  This ID will be used to login. Further, other tabs like “Edit Account Info”, “Reinstall” and “Web Restore” are already briefed up here hence need no mention again.

Before wrapping up, a few tidbits on how this Online Backup really works…..

Once the Online Backup is installed on the PC, the data from the files you selected and the your personally identified information is processed for encryption before being transmitted over the internet to Quickbooks online backup servers. Once the Quickbooks Online Backup receives the transmission, the data is authenticated and then stored into the Quickbooks online backup’s system. Access to this data is protected and a password is required before data is decrypted and transmitted back to the computer.
